REQUIREMENTS for PARTICIPATION

Step Up to Conflict provides a ten-step method for resolving conflict and provides a sound, logical roadmap for action. This workshop recognizes that:

  • Conflict is inevitable: When people work together, they bring differing perspectives, opinions and motives that can lead to conflict.

  • Conflict is not always bad: Many conflicts – when handled properly – can create an atmosphere of creativity and innovation.

  • Conflict management skills can be learned: While natural ability is helpful, we know these skills can be effectively developed and improved.

  • Six small group workshops (4 content sessions at 90-minutes and 2 group discussion sessions at 60-minutes)

  • Participant workbook complete with content and guided practice exercises

  • Interactive sessions with other epic professionals to have "real talk" 

  • Lead trainer with over 10,000 hours of course facilitation

  • Assess the effectiveness of their mindset, attitude, and skills regarding accountability

  • Use Accountability tools to distinguish how the tasks they are accountable for are prioritized to meet group, team, or department goals

  • Increase personal accountability for obligations and the people accountable to them by applying the principles of the Accountability Culture Model (ACM)

  • New network of professional contacts

  • Certificate of completion

  • Ability to attend all workshops

  • Zoom capabilities with both video and audio (computer is best)

  • Positive and open attitude

  • Light reading and reflection 1 -2 hours outside of scheduled workshop each week
